Amazon is adding a new tab to highlight live television to its Fire TVs

Amazon is making it easier for users to find live television on its Fire TV units. The company says that it will soon roll out a “Live” tab that collects all of the various live programming across apps that users might have installed.

Amazon describes the tab as a “single destination” that “brings together your live sports, news, and channels from select OTT services, streaming apps (e.g. PlayStation Vue), paid subscriptions, and over-the-air antennas into one consolidated view.”

The tab is located on the TV’s main navigation menus, and the section will group the channels that you’ve recently viewed. It’ll also show off lists of other channels “which share similar programming,” like sports or breaking news. The tab isn’t quite live just yet: Amazon says that it’ll roll out to users in the next week.

The New York Attorney General’s Office will investigate the Capital One data breach

Photo Illustration by Rafael Henrique/SOPA Images/LightRocket via Getty Images New York Attorney General Letitia James announced today that her office plans to investigate the Capital One data breach that impacted more than 100 million people in the US and Canada. “[We] will work to ensure that New Yorkers who were victims of this breach are provided relief,” James said in a statement. “We cannot allow hacks of this nature to become every day occurrences.” The breach, allegedly carried out by a former Amazon Web Services engineer, compromised names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, dates of birth, and self-reported incomes. Capital One’s press release also claims that 140,000 US Social Security numbers, 80,000 bank account numbers, and 1 million Canadian social insurance numbers were also compromised. Android Pie is rolling out for the notched Motorola One

Motorola’s midrange notched Motorola One and Motorola One Power phones are starting to get Android 9.0 Pie updates , according to Android Police . The Motorola One launched in Europe, Latin America, and Asia back in October, and it just went on sale in the United States earlier this month for $399. It features a 5.9-inch HD display with a distinctly iPhone X-style notch (although there’s no Face ID-esque unlocking), paired with a Snapdragon 625 processor. The One Power is a little bigger and more powerful, with a larger battery, 6.2-inch screen, and Snapdragon 636 chipset, but it’s exclusive to India. Motorola had actually promised the 9.0 Pie update at IFA when it announced the two devices, so this isn’t entirely unexpected, but it’s nice to see that the company has been relatively swift in making sure the phones are updated.
